Auction settings explained
Start price, decrement, duration, anti-sniping and rank visibility.
Every auction setting changes supplier behavior. Here's what each one does and a sensible default.
The settings
Open the relevant screen from the left navigation, then follow the on-screen prompts. Every action is recorded to the event's audit trail so your team always has a complete history.
- Start price — the ceiling for the opening bid.
- Minimum decrement — the smallest allowed drop.
- Duration — how long the room stays open.
- Anti-sniping — extends the clock on late bids.
Tip
Open-rank auctions (suppliers see their position) usually produce stronger competition than sealed ones.
